Also known as “Golden Milk” or a “Turmeric Latte” this warming drink is high in inflammation reducing antioxidants. I love it as a cozy afternoon snack on a chilly day.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups oat milk (or your favourite plant based milk – cashew, almond, coconut)
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or raw honey)
- 1/8 tsp black pepper (just a sprinkle to help absorb the turmeric)
METHOD
Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Heat through for about 3 to 5 minutes, not letting it come to a boil. Whisk continuously.
*Option to heat and froth your milk in a frother if you have one and then stir in the remaining ingredients.
Add to your favourite mug and enjoy.
